Disciplinary Actions for On-Track Incident that occurred on March 29
To Our Racing Community,
Following the on-track incident that occurred this past Saturday night, race officials have reviewed numerous videos and spoke to numerous people and have issued disciplinary actions to the involved drivers. The following individuals have received official warnings for their conduct:
Jake Daniels – Modified Car #17:
Daniels has been warned for rough driving, including brake-checking Car #07 in Turn 2, intentionally forcing Car #07 down low and off the track in Turn 3, and attempting to run down Car #07 after the race was completed.
Kody Brusso – Modified Car #07:
Brusso has been warned for rough driving, including continuous bumping of Car #17, intentionally dumping Car #17 on the last lap, and for excessive speed entering pit road entrance in Turn 4.
Additionally, a pit crew member from Brusso’s team has been warned for engaging in a physical altercation in the pits.
Both drivers and their teams are advised that any future incidents of rough driving or conduct violations will result in further disciplinary action, including but not limited to:
- Suspension for one or more races
- Loss of points
- Monetary fines
Race officials acknowledge an error in officiating during the modified race, as a black flag should have been issued to Car #17 for at least one of the intentional incidents. This could have helped prevent further escalation. Moving forward, stricter enforcement will be implemented to ensure that such behavior is addressed immediately.
We remain committed to maintaining a fair and competitive racing environment for all drivers, teams, and fans. We expect each driver to respect their fellow competitors and uphold the values of fair competition.
